Enel Green Power to enter Peru

Italian renewable energy company Enel Green Power (EGP) announced its entry into the Peruvian market after winning contracts for the supply of energy with three projects which will into operation in 2018.
The multinational company, a subsidiary of Enel Group, said in a statement that it has been awarded in Peru the right to stipulate contracts energy distribution with a capacity of up to 126 megawatts (MW) of wind power, 180 MW of photovoltaic and 20 MW of hydroelectric.
“With 326 MW awarded, EGP before 2018 will become the main operator of renewable of Peru and the only company that will work with three plants of different renewable technologies in the country”, he stated.
For the construction of the plants, which launching is scheduled for 2018, EGP will invest nearly 400 million dollars, in line with the investments of its current Strategic Plan.
