Bolivia signs strategic agreements in Energy with Russian Gazprom

Bolivian President Evo Morales, signed this week three agreements with the Russian gas giant Gazprom at the Bolivia-Russia Summit, held in Tarija, southern Bolivia.
“This day will be unforgettable because we are starting agreements in energy terms until 2040. This is historic, but we also recognize, admire, welcome and respect the industrial development of Russia,” stated Morales.
gazprom-600x350“Gazprom will contribute to Bolivia to become the energetic heart of Latin America”, said Gazprom President, Alexey Miller.
The teams reached agreements on cooperation in gas exploration, training, technology transfer and construction of a research center for change in the energy matrix of diesel (diesel) to liquefied natural gas (LNG).
One of the objectives of the Plan of Productive and Social Development of the Government of Morales is to turn Bolivia, which already supplies gas to markets in Argentina and Brazil in an energy hub for the continent.
